My 23 month old absolutely loves this book. I found it at the library. The illustrations are so simple, but its their simplicity that leaves room for a lot of conversation and interaction between my son and me during story time. I can talk with him in simple terms about the concepts being presented, and he can engage in multiple ways, lifting flaps, looking behind popups, moving shapes around, pointing to pictures as I count them, etc. It is so much more stimulating than the usual material for the toddler set. The paper stock is sturdy, too, and my toddler can play without damaging anything. I can't recommend this book enough!
