Michael Gordon books are always a gamble. Some he takes the times to format, others he doesn't. Hippo Can Dance is one that he has though. It is formatted to take up the entire screen in landscape mode (holding your device horizontally). The pictures and text display together on the screen like a traditional physical open book. A lot of self published kindle picture book authors can't be bothered to take the time to format their work and reading them is like looking at a mess. I always like to take the time to acknowledge those who care enough about their readers and their own work to make sure everyone enjoys what they've written/illustrated to the fullest potential. If only Michael Gordon would format all his work.Basically it's about a hippo that likes to dance to rap music, of course the other animals make fun of him for this, but a human encourages him to do what he enjoys.
